I’ve been using gmail for quite some time now. I started with an account with my full name to it reversed to now where I use the first 3 acronym letters of my company’s name in front of my name as my email address. We also created an email account with gmail to use for our recruiting needs and use it until today. Fortunately, they’ve increased the storage space allotted for the accounts because we may have used the entire space by this point if they didn’t. Thanks Google !
One feature I recently noticed though was something that I thought was a great idea. I started to notice they have a message at the bottom of the account saying that the email address is being used at other locations — they point out the IP addresses, I believe. More about it is here in this post called:
Remote sign out and info to help you protect your Gmail account
You know how sometimes you forget to log off from your account? Well, now you know when more than one person is accessing your email account if you did accidentally forget to logout. Kudos or maybe I should say Gudos to Google for creating this feature. Sometimes I do like this company which appears to continue being the next Microsoft.

The IP address on my e-mail is now a different number completely. Why would that happen?
Your IP can change dynamically if your network settings on your computer require you to pick up a new IP address each time it connects to the Internet. I’m not a networking expert, but some computers have static IP addresses & others pick them up dynamically from the Internet Service Provider they use.
