Stark contrast in cell phone culture from the west

I wrote a post earlier about how Koreans have no problems picking up their cell phones in the middle of a conversation with someone or in class or during a meeting.  Coincidentally enough, about a couple months after that was posted, there was a survey done (unfortunately, I don’t have the source) where they asked what were the top things people did that were “no, no’s” in the office.  Number 10 on the list was picking up your cell phone during a meeting.

Koreans better learn this before going abroad to conduct a meeting with a Canadian or American client.  I’ll do my best to educate the young here about this, but I hope the rest figure it out sooner or later.  I wish I could translate my blog into Korean.  🙂
