More than 50% of the time when looking at the top Korean websites like Naver.com and Daum.net, you will see some image of a top Korean female model.  As stated before in previous posts, Korean women dress in a tantalizing manner.  So, unless I’m totally devoid of my natural desires of a man, I can’t help but notice.  Today, it happened again and my theory of Korean women being the sexiest dressers just continues to be buttressed.

My main coworker is freezing these days just like me.  However, she is even colder because on most days, she’ll wear skirts to work regularly.  Across the Korean peninsula, you see this constantly: Korean women still wear skirts in the most freezing temperatures.  It never made sense to me from a comfort standpoint, but at the same time, the simple fact they wear high heels despite all the discomfort falls helps me understand a bit more, I guess…  Continue reading

Like I said “porcupines,” “Korean women” and many others like “how to say hello (or thank you) in Korean” are dominating the traffic on the blog these days.  For a snippet of the rest of the popular posts, check out the following WordPress stats for The Real “South” Korea: Continue reading

So, it seems…people on the ‘net are addicted to “Korean women”

My recent experiment called “SEM Experiment: Are people online mostly interested about sexy Korean girls?” seems to prove that my previous post titled “Koreans are the sexiest dressers” was no fluke.  Like the obscenity case in Flordia where Google data is being proven to show that people are quite addicted online to adult material, it’s being proved here on a micro-scale. Koreans are the sexiest dressers. Rather, Korean women are the sexiest dressers. They just seem to know how to dress themselves and have a good sense for fashion. I can’t say every face is necessarily the most beautiful, but when I accidentally look at someone without seeing their face, I sometimes can’t help myself “wow, this gal must be incredibly attractive…”

I know this is shallow – sorry. Continue reading

Staring down at the five pairs of shoes immediately in front of me this morning, I noticed that with the 5 kids that were in front of me, 4 of them were wearing Converse. Two of them were wearing North Face jackets. Late last year, I got burglarized and they took a lot of valuable things, but no clothes…except for one item: my NORTH FACE BLACK VEST. Why? Koreans LOVE brand names. Once a brand name is accepted or popularized, it BOOMS! Continue reading

….but this one made me fall out of my chair.

Subject: So you think you’re fashionable?

Last weekend I put an exhaust fan in the ceiling for my wife’s grandfather. While my wife’s brother and I were fitting the fan in between the joists, we found something under the insulation. What we found was this:

Halloween 2007 in Busan, South Korea

halloween-2007.jpg

So, Halloween this year was fun…in Busan. I was never big on Halloween in the past, but it’s been a great year so far and when you have great friends both in and outside of work, you have less problems dressing up in a ridiculous costume — like I did. Honestly, I had no idea what the heck I was, but it cost me 6000 won (about $6) and so why not? Actually, it was a little more with the cheap-o belt and, the funky hat and shoes, but not much more than $15 total — can’t beat that! Continue reading
